High Heat Fire Resistant Mortar is a non-combustible silicate cement fireplace mortar that patches chipped or cracked firebrick in fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. It also seals gaps as a draft, smoke, and fireblock sealant for wood-frame construction applications where an ASTM E136 non-combustible sealant is required. The silicate cement formula cures by heat to create a rigid, durable repair and seal. It withstands temperatures up to 2000°F. Once fired, it sets rock hard for high-heat applications. High Heat Fire Resistant Mortar adheres well to firebrick, brick, masonry, fireplaces, and wood-burning stoves. It has low odor, cleans up with water, and is paintable once fully heat cured. It meets ASTM E136, is VOC compliant, and has been tested in accordance with ASTM E136. Interior use only.
